To 3 Secret Beaches In India

Posted on

Contemplating the perfect beach holiday in India? There are indeed a lot more to the list than the best beaches only. We call them the top secret beaches of India that are often left unnoticed; in another better term: untraded. And although the thickly populated Anjuna beach in Goa has its own charm, these are 3 beaches in India that are a must visit.
Starting from the farthest:

1.Agatti Islands, Lakshadweep: Comprising of a group of 36 coral islands, out of which only 10 are inhabited and about 450 km away from the west-coast of Kerala, the Agatti Islands are a part of the Maldivian Archipelago. Tiny, pebble like and hardly 4 meters above sea level, Lakshadweep is the smallest Union Territory of India which is also the prettiest of all coastal cities and territories that adorns this country.
Lagoons, coconut trees, crystal clear water, corals and a mesmerizing fauna; Agatti gives you a truly secluded and exotic experience.

2.Varkala, Kerala: Yes, it is true that Kerala is more famous for its backwaters than its beaches but one cant ignore the 900Km coast that adorns its coast. Laden with sandy beaches, rocky wonders and palm trees looming over to the ocean, Varkala is renowned for its gentle, blue waters; a treat every beach lover wants. And if you want to explore a little more than just a secluded beach and come back to the cradle of sea and silence, Kerala is the place to be. One must visit in Kerala is its natural mineral springs that also has medicinal properties.

3.Benaulim Beach, Goa
Yes, we are talking about Goa beaches here. Neednt say much about them; Goa beaches are definitely the first name that comes to ones mind when you think of a beach vacation. Surf, chill, douse in sand and the sun; Goa is never too far away from the beach lovers heart. And here, we are particularly talking about the secluded Benaulim beach, Goa. Coined by the Portuguese, Benaulim lies cradled beautifully in the south of Goa, at the end of Colva beach. Quiet and secluded, this beach offers you a burst of white sand followed by lava rocks as you walk towards Cavassolim.

The Balearic Islands

The three famous Balearic Islands starting with Ibiza, continuing with Majorca and finishing with Menorca patiently wait for their visitors on the eastern side of the coast belonging to the Mediterranean Sea. Formentera is the fourth island composing the Balearic Islands, the paradise on earth as some say. The islands form an Autonomous Community which has Mallorca as capital and even though Catalan is their official language; each island has its own dialect. If you visit the Balearic Islands, you will be welcomed by 300 days of sunshine every year, exquisite beaches, cities with an amazing cultural and architectural design and a lot of fun.

Going to Ibiza

Probably the most famous Balearic Island, Ibiza is popular for its agitated nightlife. Apart from the nightlife, Ibiza also has great beaches with delicate sands and the water of the Mediterranean Sea is of a crystal blue, making it great for a bath. The young tourists love Ibiza as its nightlife is legendary; however this is not the only attraction of the island. Ibiza has no less than 72 beaches as well as a wonderful selection of restaurants, bars and pubs and an interesting countryside which offers beautiful landscapes.

Visiting Majorca

Out of the four Balearic Islands, this is the largest and it has been a wonderful seaside destination starting with the 1960s. The city is full of sightseeing monuments which should definitely be on your list such as the Gothic Cathedral or the Bellver Castel. They managed to survive, even though the country developed really fast in an attempt to keep pace with the millions of tourists that visit it every year. Majorca is also a great place for gourmet ones, as the cuisine is absolutely fantastic.

The wonderful Menorca

Menorca is also known as the hidden paradise as the effect which comes along with mass tourism is not felt here. Menorca has managed to keep its rustic appearance alive, so you will be welcomed by some of the most beautiful landscapes you have ever seen. The beaches are idyllic and if you visit its capital Mahon, you have the chance to see the biggest natural harbor in this part of Europe. The pavement bars and pubs assure the nightlife entertainment that the young love so much.

Formentera

The smallest Balearic Island is also the one that has remained unspoilt. Formentera is the perfect place for those who just want to relax on a wonderful beach.

Posted on

Goa which undoubtedly is the most favored beach destination in India, is visited by thousands of tourists every year from all over the world. Goa boasts of a powerfully long coast line that houses over 40 beaches epitomizing mirth and serenity. A Goa beach can be an intensely tempting affair as, unlike most beaches that are either too loud or too quiet, it is a pleasant mix of tranquility and merriment.

Description of Goa beaches: Though a Goa beach is known for the joie de vivre and youthful exuberance it holds, the tall and swaying palm trees have an inherent power to force serenity and nostalgic charm. Like a gorgeous maiden who never fails to seduce, the Goa beach, too, is hauntingly beautiful. The deep blue sea titillates a tired mind into wakefulness and the cold waters that kiss your feet can be seriously erotic. Perhaps this is why Goa is a popular getaway for love birds and newly married.

A holiday in Goa, just like a Kerala tour, can be intensely romantic. If Keralas lagoons and backwaters have that fragrance of silent romance, the Goa beaches are synonymous with passionate love, fervor and zeal. A young reveler can swim, take enjoyable dips, surf or boat while a more subdued personality can simply lie down on the sandy beach and relish the sun, breeze and the atmosphere. Besides sprawling down on the golden sandy carpet, you can feast over coconut juice thats as tasty as it is beneficial. Beers and whiskeys are alternatives and mostly meant for night-time parties. The breeze emanating from the cluster of palm trees can be as soothing as a mothers lullaby.

Some noted Goa beaches: Though Goas coastline has gifted the state a number of beaches, some of the more popular ones include the Miramar Beach, Dona Paula beach, Vagator beach, Cavelossim beach and Anjuna beach. Some of these are full of life with young revelers partying around while some offer isolation and heavenly quiet that is soulful and spiritually blissful.

Inner delights of a holiday in Goa: Though, no amount of praiseworthy words is enough to do justice to the charm of the Goa beaches, theres no denying that theres much more to look forward to during a holiday in Goa. A tourist can simply not miss out on the delights that Goas inner pockets offer. The towns remind of the Portugal colonial rule as ancient churches, cemeteries, forts and monuments are sprinkled everywhere. History can never seem more real and right-in-front-of-your-eyes with everything around you evoking memories of the bygone era.

There are some dense forests, exotic wildlife, sparkling waterfalls and festivals & carnivals. The people are extremely genial and the cuisines are lip-smacking. Visiting Goa is no less than walking into the heavenly Garden of Eden!

Cancun offers something for everyone with its warm beautiful beaches of pristine white sand, unsurpassed nightlife and rich cultural history. This city is especially gay friendly and there are places exclusively for the gay traveler. No one should go to Cancun without sampling a bit of everything from the rich tradition of the Mayans to the spicy food and nightlife.
In Cancun, you’ll find some of the ancient ruins but there’s also more, close by the city. If you plan on a trip, plan an extra day for a day tour of the Temple of Kukulcan. The temple is spectacular but there a good reason to arrive early if you travel during the Spring or Autumn Equinox.
The pyramid’s corner projected a shadow shaped like the legendary snake Kukulcan as the sun moved slowly across the heavens. The Mayans believed the serpent fertilized the earth when it reached the ground.
The area where this city stands today in the Yucatan Peninsula often called the Mexican Caribbean was the home of a coconut plantation and just 3 residents as recently as 1970. Until then, it contained the remnants of the Mayans, natural beauty and of course, coconut trees. In Cancun, you’ll find a modern city, filled with the wonders of the ancient world, but whose oldest building is less than 40 years old.
Cancun is perfect if you adore the beach, the sun, and the water. You can visit any beach in the Cancun but if you want to go to the main gay beach you have to go to the Ruinas del Rey. Cancun offers plenty of sun and sand at the beach, and the city is friendly to gays, offering the opportunity to happen upon a friendly encounter.
If you want to do more than bake under the rays or walk along the shoreline, there are plenty of more physical activities available. You want something different to do at night, enjoy you supper on the bow of a boat.
Taking a nap is an excellent way to throw off the sleepiness of a long day and prepare to dive into the city’s nightlife. Nocturnal activity commences at 10.30 and goes on till 5.00 AM into next day.
Though recreation and drinking joints are plenty for normal as well as gay persons , the Karamba is exclusively gay. There’s entertainment to suite every taste in popular music. The organization attracts persons globally and accommodates 450, however by late night people from nearby areas start coming hence it would good if you can look for sitting place soon enough.
